Totem Welcomes Two New Hires as It Expands Commercial Team

London, UK – April 18 2023 – Totem, a leading provider of event technology and production services today announced it is expanding its sales team with the appointment of Matthew Ryan, Commercial Director and Andy Leatherland, Sales Director. The hires follow the acquisition of several new clients across the corporate and commercial events sector.

“We are very pleased to welcome Matt and Andy to the team,” says Totem MD, Sam Roythorne. “The new appointments will allow us to continue our growth strategy as we expand our audience engagement ecosystem to cover webinars, internal meetings, online learning and communities, supported by our in-house video and creative services.”

“We’ve seen a number of event tech companies who scaled rapidly during the pandemic having to make cuts this year” she added. “We’re taking a balanced approach to growth but are cautiously optimistic about the months ahead.”

Ryan, a B2B SaaS veteran, has over 15 years of experience leading sales departments in high-growth businesses and was quick to identify the growth potential of Totem’s audience engagement platform, Reef. “There’s a big difference between an opportunistic investment-led tech company and one that has developed a platform to support and improve a market it knows so well” he explains.

“Taking this to the corporate market and empowering them to curate an environment that regains ownership of their internal or external audiences is hugely exciting. Leatherland, previously Sales Director at EventsAir, witnessed the transformation of the events industry during the pandemic first-hand. “The pain event directors went through really made them consider the drivers behind each event.
