March 1, LONDON. ICE UK has confirmed the high-profile support of Tobacco Dock and Totem, who have become category sponsors for this year’s ICEAWARDS. The event, which enters its ninth year, solely recognises corporate event planners, and their events and activations, and has become one of the biggest communities of corporate organisers in the UK.
As part of the agreement, both brands will be supporting both the awards and ICE Conference, taking place on the same day, 13th July in London. For the awards themselves, Tobacco Dock have come on board to sponsor a new category, Best Community Experience, while Totem, a leading event tech and services company are supporting Best Hybrid Event.
Last year The ICEAWARDS recognised brands including BBC Studios, SAP Sapphire, EY, Currys, Siemens, Equinix, and the NSPCC. Other categories this year include ‘Best Motivational Event’, ‘Agency Collaboration’ and ‘Logistical Challenge of the Year’. The awards will also recognise team contributions, as well as those that have addressed hybrid technology and shown dynamism throughout the last 12 months.
“We’re so delighted to have Tobacco Dock and Totem with us this year, both of them are well respected and hugely popular brands within our community and it’s a natural fit for us all,” commented Anita Howard, Founder & CEO, ICE. “It’s great to see brands looking to support this sector of our industry and help corporate event planners the recognition they so richly deserve.”
Jonathan Read, Joint CEO of Tobacco Dock commented: “Tobacco Dock is delighted to be supporting the ICEAWARDS and programme over the next 12 months. As an increasing number of corporate event clients select their venue of choice direct, we at Tobacco Dock are seeking to deepen our dialogue and strengthen our relationships with corporate decision-makers. We hope that having a greater understanding of their requirements and challenges will enable us to refine our product offering and customer experience.”
Chris Bo-Shields, Co-Founder at Totem added; “We are looking forward to working closely with ICE and supporting the ICEAWARDS. We’ve seen sustained demand for hybrid events amongst our client base and expect to see corporate event planners blending in-person, digital and virtual touchpoints across audience journeys in new and interesting ways over the coming year. While great strides have been made to increase the digital footprint of events, the next exciting step will be consolidating content and discussions into a central digital ‘home’ for both internal and external audiences.”
