To work in partnership with Informa’s Digital Delivery Team to bring a smart event experience to SuperReturn International 2022, facilitating networking at this must-attend gathering for the private capital market.
Informa also wanted Totem to deliver a high-impact show opener as well as using our production team to capture video footage and interviews.

As part of Totem’s ongoing partnership with Informa, we adapted and enhanced their white-labelled version of the Reef digital engagement platform, ConnectMe, to meet the specific networking requirements of the SuperReturn conferences.
We sat down with Informa’s event organisers and Digital Delivery Team and brainstormed their requirements, enabling a multifaceted smart event solution for SuperReturn International.
The event app opened to attendees three weeks before the event. Totem’s smart matchmaking tool, Helix Match, suggested contacts to network with based on shared interests tagged in their profile. Delegates could also manually filter the list by audience type. For example, a limited partner (LP) could easily pinpoint other LPs operating in Asia who are interested in Blockchain.
At the request of Informa, we added tiered access to networking to customise and enrich the networking experience for different audience segments. This enabled them to connect and do business in the most efficient way.

The use of technology was encouraged across multiple steps of the audience journey, with as many functions as possible driven through the app in order to encourage adoption.
The desktop version of the Reef engagement platform was also made available in the run-up to the event. Delegates could access the same functionality as the app, including networking and exploring the virtual exhibition hall. It remained open for the week after the event to allow follow-up meetings to continue.
Our production team filmed and recorded all of the sessions from the three streams and delegates could watch content on demand for three weeks after the event. Informa was able to offer a new type of ticket for audiences to view content solely over virtual channels.
We produced a super-wide, high-impact show opener as well as immersive presentation graphics for the digital canvas, spanning three screens.
Totem’s onsite production team also created a highlights reel that included delegate interviews on the exhibition floor and filmed interviews with key speakers.
We enabled event organisers to shoot footage using their personal smartphone and our lightweight portable rig kit. This was edited by our experts and returned within a matter of hours so the team could quickly post on social channels.
SuperReturn International attracted over 3,500 senior decision-makers and saw over 4,700 meeting requests made through the app and 740 views of on-demand content.
